Overview

Design continues for a new trail segment of the PRG in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City. This trail will offer new ways to bike, walk and roll in the area.

The Cherry Hill trail will become part of the Patapsco Regional Greenway (PRG). The Patapsco Regional Greenway Plan envisions a 40-mile, shared-use trail running through the Patapsco Valley from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor to Sykesville in Carroll County. The PRG is a larger effort to expand the regional trail network. Parts of the PRG are already constructed and open for use. Remaining portions are in various stages of design and will be completed based on local priorities and funding availability. The goal is to make it easier for people to get around by bike, on foot, or using mobility devices.

In the spring we shared the potential Cherry Hill trail location from the original PRG Plan and asked the community how to make the trail beneficial for everyone. To learn more about what we heard in Phase 1 visit this link.

Throughout the design process we have worked closely with local organizations to understand the community needs and wants. We are partnered with the City of Baltimore, who would bring this project to final design and construction.

Now, we have a few possible locations for the trail, chosen based on community feedback. We would like to know what you think of each one of these possible locations for the trail.

Learn more about each potential alignment on the Options tab and then take the survey to share your thoughts.

Feedback is welcome until November 17

A Community Open House will take place on Tuesday, November 4 at the Middle Branch Fitness and Wellness Center (201 Reedbird Ave, Baltimore, MD 21225).
