About the Patapsco Regional Greenway

The Patapsco Regional Greenway (PRG) is a planned 40-mile trail for walking and biking. The PRG connects Sykesville in Carroll County to parts of Howard and Baltimore Counties. Then, it leads to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore City. Some parts of the PRG trail are built, while others are being planned or designed. When complete, the trail will link communities, parks, and trails across the Patapsco Valley.

About the Henryton Road Spur

The Henryton Road Spur is a planned 2,000-foot trail. It will be open for walking, biking, and horseback riding.

The trail will be located in Carroll County near Sykesville. It will connect to the Sykesville to McKeldin section of the Patapsco Regional Greenway (PRG). The Henryton Road Spur will go south following the abandoned Henryton Road.

At the South Branch Patapsco River, a new bridge will allow pedestrians, cyclists, and equestrians to cross the river and railroad tracks. The trail will also connect to Howard County’s trail network. It will continue south to connect to the existing Henryton Road in Howard County.
