Transportation Planning Budget for FY 2027
Transportation Planning Budget for FY 2027
Did you know the BRTB receives several million dollars each year in federal funding to plan the future of transportation? Each year, we develop a planning budget that outlines our priorities and the work we plan to do. These ideas come from local jurisdictions and community members like you.
Think of this budget as a roadmap for transportation planning. It shows how we plan to invest resources in studies, data collection, public outreach, and other activities to improve transportation across the region.
See what’s ahead and share your feedback on the transportation planning budget by Sunday, March 8, 2026.

The foundation to regional planning is guided by a number of federal requirements. However, the way we approach those requirements is suited to our region. So every year we talk with our various committees and key stakeholders about what needs there are and what we want to invest in.
We take everyone’s feedback and come up with a list of projects and how much it will cost. Then, we share that list with the community and ask for your feedback.
Take a look below and let us know what you think!
